What began in November 2022 as a simple idea among new immigrants seeking fresh meat has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined.
We gathered a few friends and created a small WhatsApp group of about 12 people—just so we could visit a farm together and purchase meat in bulk. The excitement of that first trip inspired us to do it again a month later, by which time our group doubled in size. We decided to formalize it: the Winnipeg Meat Sharing Group was born.
What started as a once‑a‑month meat‑sharing event quickly became a regular fixture. Word spread; people from neighboring provinces learned about us, and before long, our simple group had grown to more than 2,000 members across two groups. Together, we shared not just beef but chicken, fish, and a variety of meat products each week.
Despite being in Canada for only two and a half years at the time, we found strength in prayer, planning, and preparation. We believed in the work, trusted in our values, and trusted in each other.
Out of this community effort, driven by integrity, focus, diligence, and above all, God came Chop’n’Charm Meat Inc. Today, we stand as more than a group—we are a business & family committed to serving our community with transparency and compassion.
